Four burglary suspects apprehended after manhunt in Johnson County


MORGANTOWN, Ind. (WTHR) - Four people suspected in a Johnson County burglary were arrested after an hours-long manhunt Friday.

A homeowner told police she came home to find her home had been broken into and a handgun was missing from the residence. Witnesses said they saw four males leaving the area shortly after the crime was committed around 6 p.m.

Police from Bargersville, Greenwood and Trafalgar, as well as the Morgan and Johnson county sheriff's departments, canvassed the area looking for the suspects. Indiana State Police assisted the search from the air.

Shortly after 9 p.m., police took all four suspects into custody in Morgan County and recovered the missing handgun. Police say two of the suspects were adult males and two were juveniles.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say they are no longer searching for suspects in the area.
