KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) – A Russiaville man once named Indiana's Paramedic of the Year was arrested Saturday on allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Chad Bowlby, 46, was taken to the Howard County jail after a complaint that he had allegedly performed sex acts with a then-14-year-old girl. Court documents say there were several incidents between August and December of last year.

Bowlby, a paramedic at the time of the purported crimes, will also face charges of sexual misconduct with a minor in Cass County.

Bowlby worked for a business which provided paramedics and ambulance service to the Cass County area.

Our partners at the Pharos Tribune said the alleged victim wanted to be an EMT and she would join Bowlby on ride-alongs in Logansport.

She told police he threatened to kill himself if she told anyone.
