BENTON COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — Otterbein Elementary School in Benton County is releasing students early Thursday and will remain closed Friday because so many students are sick.

A district spokesperson said at least 20 percent of students were out Thursday – many with flu-like symptoms.

A message on the school corporation website said all other schools are operating on a regular schedule.

In Jasper County, the entire Rensselaer School District is closed Thursday and Friday because of the flu.
