PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WTHR) - A Florida mom knows all too well what a parent would do to save their child.

In fact, Lisa Chesson was getting ready to donate one of her kidneys to her 2-year-old son Colton, who was born with kidney disease and has been on dialysis his whole life.

But during a mammogram before the transplant surgery, doctors discovered that Lisa has early stage breast cancer.

Now she will undergo breast cancer surgery this week.

"Even my oncologist and the breast doctor both said if it wasn't for you getting it done so early it could have spread and he essentially did save your life," Chesson said.

Unfortunately, that means that she can no longer give her kidney to her sick son, so now she's turning to social media, hoping a stranger will be a match for him.
