Flight attendants save girls from apparent human trafficking on flight to Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii (WTHR) - A team of flight attendants is being credited with saving three girls from human trafficking on a plane in California.

Hawaii News Now reports the girls boarded a Honolulu-bound flight in Los Angeles with an older Asian male and something seemed off to flight attendant Wes Hirata. He alerted his fellow attendants, who helped discover one of the girls was underage and all three were registered for the flight under the same name on the passenger manifest.

The attendants told the captain, who notified security.

The FBI is now investigating the situation as a possible human trafficking case.
