Flags flown at half-staff Sunday to honor fallen firefighters


INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Sunday was National "Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day," honoring the men and woman who've died in the line of duty.

Governor Holcomb asked that all flags be flown at half-staff.

According to FEMA, 70 firefighters have died on the job nationwide this year.

Indiana lost a firefighter too, back in April. Lawrence firefighter, Jeffery Holt.

His name was added to the Marion County Wall of Fallen Firefighters last Wednesday.
