AUSTRALIA (WTHR) — Firefighters in Australia had to act fast to save a Koala from a brush fire.

Crews were working in New South Wales spotted the koala at the edge of a forest as flames approached.

As firefighters ran towards it, the koala turned and ran back towards the fire. Firefighters were able to follow it into the burning grass and rescue it.

A firefighter wrapped it in his coat and then gave it some water.
