SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - Fire at a barn in Moral Township got a head start on firefighters Tuesday morning.

Reported in the 5600 block of W. County Road 700 North around 1:00 a.m., crews called it "fully involved" upon arrival.

In fact, a spokesperson told Eyewitness News that "most of the structure was already on the ground" when the first trucks arrived.

A defensive attack ensued, and Moral Township crews got help from firefighters from Fairland and Fountaintown.

It was reported that the barn was being used for storage and that there were no animals or people inside at the time of the fire.

A cause hasn't been determine, nor has an estimate of loss.

An investigation is underway.
