Fever signs former Boilermaker Lawless

Indianapolis - Former Purdue forward Erin Lawless was one of three free agents signed Tuesday by the Indiana Fever.

It's the second stint with the Fever for the 6-foot-2 Lawless, who was waived last year after she suffered a concussion in training camp.

Lawless, a three-year starter at Purdue, averaged 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds as a senior.

Also signing with the Fever were LaToya Bond, a 5-7 point guard who played for Charlotte in 2006 but was waived in training camp by Sacramento last year, and Angelina Williams, a 6-0 guard who played with Phoenix in 2005 and Detroit in 2006 but was waived in training camp by Detroit and New York last season.

Indiana's training camp opens April 20. The Fever begin their ninth WNBA season at home against Washington on May 17.
