CAIRO, Egypt — A new style of massage is gaining in popularity in Egypt, but it is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
The massage uses pythons and more than two dozen other types of non-venomous snakes to apply pressure. The larger snakes are used across the body and smaller snakes for a face massage.
Customers claim the massage helps boost their confidence and the unusual sensation of the snakes on their skin is relaxing. The owner of the spa claims the snakes' movement helps reduce muscle and joint pain, improves blood circulations and releases endorphins.
The spa in Cairo offering the snake massages charges $6 for a 30-minute session.
