BIELSKO BIALA, Poland (WTHR) - A Polish-made automobile restored by Tom Hanks will be auctioned to benefit a children's hospital.

The Syrenka 104 was actually given to the actor by fans in Poland three years ago.

The 1960's era two-door sedan was in need of repair when Hanks received it. He restored the car with plans to return it to the country for charity.

Proceeds will benefit children with mental health problems at a pediatric hospital in Bielsko-Biala.
