INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An event before Tuesday's Indiana Fever game was all about "inspiring women" at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Before the game, an audience got to hear from Notre Dame women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw.

During the Final Four this past spring, she spoke out about women's equality during a interview.

On Tuesday, she was questioned by Tamika Catchings, who is now the vice president of the Fever's basketball operations after playing on the team for years.

She asked Muffet why women's empowerment is so important to her.

"I want them to look up and see someone like them in a leadership position, and that's what we don't have enough of in this country, we don't have enough female leaders, we don't have enough female role models, we don't have women in power," McGraw said.

The Fever went on to beat the Las Vegas Aces, 86-71.
