Falling Temperatures May Cause Slick Roads - Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog

Rain and snow fell on Thursday. Accumulations were less than an inch across most of central Indiana and roads were mainly wet. Those wet roads may turn icy overnight. Untreated roads might still be slick through early Friday. It is a good idea to allow extra travel time, as temperatures fall.

Temperatures will be in the upper teens and lower 20s early Friday morning. Friday will be cold, but there is some sunshine in the forecast. Afternoon temperatures will only be near 30 degrees.

We are tracking a developing winter storm system that is still forecast to stay to our south this weekend. It will be close enough for some clouds, but the ice and snow will stay across parts of Kentucky and Tennessee. Saturday afternoon will be cold and in the lower 30s. High temperatures reach the middle and upper 30s on Sunday, with more clouds than sunshine. As that southern weather system moves east, we will get back into some sunshine early next week.

It won't be as cold next week, with highs in the 40s Tuesday through Friday. We are forecasting our next weather system for late Wednesday into Thursday. Right now this looks like a mainly rain event, with the best chance for showers on Thursday.
