F1 Lego car sells for $100K at charity auction

PARIS, France (RTV) - A Paris auction house sold a life-size Lego race car for $108-thousand in a sale Sunday.

The decorative Lego car, jointly built by Renault and Formula One, is composed of 313-thousand Lego bricks over a metal structure.

Patterned after an F1, it is equipped with Pirelli tires and a replica steering wheel.

The purchase exceeded the estimated sale price of $35-to-55-thousand.

Proceeds were to be donated to UNICEF.
