INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indiana Pacers are hiring a longtime WNBA executive as the first female assistant general manager in league history, according to ESPN.

Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news Monday morning. He said Kelly Krauskopf will work with Pacers basketball operations staff.

Krauskopf is no stranger to Indy. She's been with the Fever since its birth in 1999. Already a senior vice president with Pacers Sports & Entertainment, Krauskopf also oversaw the launch of Pacers Gaming, the Pacers' new esports entry in the NBA2K League.

She also has played a prominent role on USA Basketball’s Women’s Senior National Team Committee, helping select the gold-medal winning rosters for the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
