Local pop-up shop outfitting Hoosiers for the month of May

The month of May is all about black and white fashions, and a Hoosier with a long roster of celebrity clients is in town to make sure you look good for all of the events.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The fashions you've grown to love on the TV show "Empire" come from the husband and wife team of Brandon and Margaret Williamson. They were inspired by 90s Hip Hop.

"So now, I'm kind of putting my rendition on it. If I was at that point back then, how would I like to wear that style," says Brandon Williamson, founder of PRSVR.

The name is intentional.

"We kind of broke it down into an acronym, which is passion, resilience, sacrifice, values, and respect, which is how we define perseverance," said Brandon.

In six short years, their client list is growing, but it's not just for celebrities.

Everyone has access to this luxury fashion brand, which you can find in their pop-up store for the Month of May.

"It pops up and then it's gone," said Margaret.

Their line includes race-themed clothes, footwear and accessories.

"All of our products have our signature, flamingo silk lining," said Margaret.

PRSVR is one of over a dozen companies chosen for the pilot program St'artup 317 to fill empty first floor retail spaces in downtown Indy.

"I had to present it to the landlords as let me help you look good. Let me help you show what your space can be," says Catherine Esselman with Downtown Indy Inc.

Margaret Williamson says, "It's great for us a retailer because we don't have to sign lengthy commitments. There's not a ton over overhead that you have to invest in. It really gives us a chance for us to test the market to make sure we're offering products that are right for the people that live in this area."

It's a homecoming for Margaret, who's a graduate of Cathedral High School.

"Being able to open my own store, it's just a full circle moment that hasn't even fully sunk in yet," she said.

So when you're planning your outfits for this year's race-related events, pop on in to PRSVR, where this "first family" in fashion is revved up for the greatest spectacle in racing.

The fashion designers and their two young boys say in unison this year's race theme: "This is Indy. This is May."
