EMT develops glucose necklace to help diabetics

SPOKANE, Wash. (WTHR / KREM) — A Spokane, Washington EMT has developed a necklace to help diabetics during low blood sugar emergencies.

The necklace is filled with an edible glucose gel that you can eat. It also has a blue circle pendant to represent diabetes and can be personalized with your contact information.

EMT Kris Maynard says he came up with the idea after an emergency during a family camping trip.

Glucose Revival Necklaces can be purchased through their website and Amazon.
