Early morning fire damages W. 10th Street tavern

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An early morning fire caused extensive damage to a westside bar Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to the Hi Neighbor Tavern, 3422 W. 10th Street, at about 1:30 a.m. Fire and smoke were visible when crews arrived.

The bar had closed at 12:30 a.m., and no one was inside at the time of the blaze.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

This is the second significant incident to cause damage at Hi Neighbor Tavern. In 2017, a driver drove through the front of occupied structure around 3:15 p.m., leaving the front of the building in need of extensive repairs. There were no serious injuries in this incident.
