Rain records fell over the past two days. The rain total for Friday was 1.87” and Saturdays total was 1.52””. That brings the storm total to 3.39”, well above the January normal monthly rain total of 2.66”.

The skies will slowly clear to partly sunny by afternoon with highs near 40°.

Clouds will increase again this evening with temperatures falling into the mid 30s.

Warmer air returns for the start of the work week. Monday will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny, dry with afternoon highs climbing back into the upper 40s.

Tuesday will be mild, cloudy and dry too with highs in the upper 50s.

A few showers will be possible again Wednesday. It will be another balmy January day with highs and near 60°

Winter like conditions return by the end of the week with temperatures near normal and wintry precipitation possible.

Warm air will push in on Friday afternoon and evening, allowing precipitation to go from snow to rain.

Right now, the pattern looks like it will change quickly, with Arctic air spilling in on Saturday into Sunday.
