A southern storm system will miss central Indiana this weekend. There are warnings and watches already out for the Appalachians, where snow and ice will be likely.

Monday will be sunny and a bit warmer, although still below normal, with highs in the upper 30s.

Temperatures will finally get back into the low 40s by Wednesday with a chance of a wintry mix of rain and snow by late day.

A light wintry mix will be possible Thursday with rain becoming likely on Friday with windy conditions.
