INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Metro police have one man in custody after he tried to run from officers along I-70 early Wednesday morning.

Police say they attempted to pull the driver over when he didn't stop and instead took off.

When the driver tried to get up on the interstate, he ended up flipping the car on the interstate heading westbound at the West Street exit near downtown.

A woman was also inside the car at the time. She was taken to the hospital for a minor leg injury and is expected to be OK.

The driver was arrested at the scene, and police say he had a few previous warrants out for burglary.
