830 Road Update

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Dozens of Indianapolis Department of Public Works trucks are on the roads Saturday, treating and plowing as they go. The drivers are working 12 hour shifts as they try to clear streets around the city over the weekend.

Spokesperson Charnay Pickett says things have been running smoothly so far. She says it would be helpful if people who usually park on the streets could be aware in case trucks need to get through the area. She also encourages people who are on the roads to give plow drivers extra space so they can do their work.

This is their first major snow event of the season and have a few new trucks they're taking out this time around.
