Damage in northwest side apartment fire estimated at more than $300,000

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Fire at a northwest side apartment complex did more than $300,000 in damage and forced 22 residents to seek new housing Friday night.

Occupants had already evacuated the building in the 5000 block of Kebil Court, near 34th & Auburn, when fire trucks arrived around 9:15 p.m.

It took about 25 minutes for crews to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but at least 8 apartments were damaged. 4 townhomes had smoke and water damage and another building was damaged by radiant heat from the fire.

No one was injured.
