KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WTHR) — Visitors at the Zoo Knoxville in Tennessee got their first look Thursday at a baby red panda born in June.

The female cub was born June 14 with a twin, who unfortunately did not survive. Both cubs had low birth weights and had to receive care around-the-clock controlled feedings in a clinic.

Now, the surviving cub is 7 weeks old and hitting all her developmental milestones.

This is the 110th red panda cub bred at the zoo. It's a collaborative effort among zoos to save the endangered species.

According to the zoo, there have been more red pandas born at Knoxville than any other zoo in the world.

Visitors will be able to see the cub get daily bottle feedings at the zoo.
