Coroner identifies man shot and killed Wednesday afternoon

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro police are investigating an incident that left two people shot, one fatally.

IMPD officers were flagged down in the 3300 block of North Sherman Drive at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and were told of a shooting victim. Officers found an adult female with an apparent gunshot wound. She told police that it happened in the 2900 block of North Dearborn Street.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

When officers checked the Dearborn Street address, they found a male along the street with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday afternoon, the Marion County Coroner's office identified the victim as 39-year-old Albert Germany.
