INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The project list for INDOT crews on the last weekend of October is similar to the past two weekends. But rain in the weather forecast for Saturday is expected to impact how much work will actually get done.

Crews will attempt resurfacing in some areas, as well as working to repair barrier walls and guardrails while clearing drains and fixing lights.

Drivers should expect lane restrictions on I-465 in several areas:

  • One lane will remain open between I-465 northbound from East 38th Street to 56th Street/Shadeland Ave. starting Friday at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday.
  • Drivers will only have one lane open on I-465 westbound from Allisonville Rd. to I-865 starting at 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.
  • Eastbound I-465 will have two lanes closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday between 96th Street and Spring Mill Road.
  • Both directions of I-465 will have the right lane closed on Saturday between 86th and 96th streets on the northwest side.
  • Southbound I-69 will have two lanes open from 116th Street to the I-465 interchange from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.
  • Only one lane of I-865 will be open in each direction on Saturday.
  • Drivers should expect single lane traffic on I-65 between 30th Street and I-465 from Friday night until Sunday morning.

  • I-465 NB to Brookville Rd. is scheduled to be open by 3 p.m. Saturday.
  • Both directions of Pendleton Pike to I-465 northbound will close at 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.
  • Both directions of Allisonville Rd. to westbound I-465 will close at 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

In Fishers, both directions of 106th Street, 96th Street and 82nd Street will have no access to southbound I-69 from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

In Boone County, access from eastbound I-865 to southbound I-465 will be closed between 6 a.m. and noon Saturday. At noon, crews will close eastbound I-865 to I-465 until 6 p.m. Saturday.

In Hancock County, the right lane of I-70 westbound will be closed between S.R. 9 and Mt. Comfort Rd. starting Friday night through Nov. 1.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route.

Watch for slow vehicles and leave plenty of time to slow down before driving into a construction zone.

State Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police will be patrolling work zones and ticketing drivers for speeding and reckless driving. INDOT crews and Hoosier Helpers will be present on the interstates to make sure drivers are aware of slowing traffic and upcoming work zones.
