Community raising funds for playground in memory of Abby and Libby


DELPHI, Ind. (WTHR) - The community is starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for a new park in honor of Abby Williams and Libby German.

The park will include a new amphitheater three picnic shelters and a walking path.

Organizers have until August 14 to raise $50,000. If they do, the state will match it with a grant.

In 2017, the city raised $140,000 to improve Delphi trail safety.

The girls were murdered in February 2017. Police are still actively searching for the killer and are asking for tips from the public.

Police are still asking for tips to or (844) 459-5786. Try to include the following information:

  • Suspect's name
  • Date of birth or approximate age
  • Physical description including height, weight, hair color, eye color
  • Address or location including city
  • Vehicle information including year, make, model, color
  • Specific reason for the tip. Why could they be the suspect?
  • Motivation for the crime
  • Connection to Delphi, IN

They pointed out that you don't need to have all of that information to submit a tip, but to try to provide as much detail as possible.
