COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) - Police arrested a Columbus woman on DUI and drug charges after she crashed her vehicle into a Dairy Queen Wednesday morning.

Jessi E. Baldwin, 37, told officers she was driving in the parking lot and swerved her vehicle to avoid crashing into another vehicle coming directly at her just before 10:30 a.m. at the restaurant at 2215 N. National Road.

Police said Baldwin showed signs of impairment and had blood drawn at a local hospital before she was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

In a search of her car, officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia, adding drug charges to Baldwin's case.

She's in the Bartholomew County Jail.
