INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Colts' kicker Adam Vinatieri is answering tough questions.

The 46-year-old has struggled early in the 2019-2020 season, missing five kicks in the last two games.

On Tuesday, he held an informal news conference with the media to answer questions, including what his future holds. Some speculated that the NFL's all-time leading scorer may call it quits but Vinatieri confirmed that's not the case.

When asked about retirement, Vinatieri said he never considered it.

"I just need a little bit more time. None of us should assume stuff," Vinatieri said further responding to the question.

After Sunday's game, Vinatieri told media he would talk to them on Monday but that didn't happen. He said he just needed time to decompress.

He went on to say that just as the fans do, he has certain expectations for himself and will continue to work to meet those expectations as the season progresses.

The Colts have their first home game of the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 22 against the Atlanta Falcons.
