INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Several Indianapolis Colts players spent part of their Monday having fun at a Dave & Busters, and it was all for a good cause.

TE Jack Doyle, an Indianapolis native and Cathedral High School graduate, hosted his annual birthday celebration, bringing out the kid in everybody.

And speaking of kids, the guest list included children from Dayspring Center, a place for emergency shelter, clothing and meals for Central Indiana homeless families.

“A lot of these kids from Dayspring, their birthday gets swept under the rug. We’re just trying to give them a birthday that some of them don’t always get," Doyle said.

The kids got to play games with Colts players and, of course, enjoy some birthday cake.

“You see these kids and you just want to give them a chance to smile, have fun, relax and maybe not think about their circumstances for a night,” Doyle said. “They’re such great kids, working hard, so yeah, it’s a fun event.”
