Colts sign TE Telfer from Cleveland, waive TE Vander Laan


INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indianapolis Colts claimed tight end Randall Telfer off waivers from Cleveland Monday.

Telfer played in 30 games over three seasons with the Browns, catching five passes for 40 yards. He missed his rookie season due to injury. The USC alum was picked in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The 6'4", 250 pound tight end was named Cleveland's 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Also Monday, the Colts waived tight end Jason Vander Laan, who played in four games last season for Indianapolis, registering two tackles on special teams.
