WESTFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) – Indianapolis Colts fans can watch their team practice 18 times this summer for free. The training camp schedule was released Wednesday at a news conference at the Grand Park Events Center in Westfield.

The Colts have a 10-year partnership with the City of Westfield to hold training camp at the Grand Park Sports Campus. The huge sports complex 20 miles north of Indianapolis hosts thousands for youth sports events every weekend. Thousands more are expected at Grand Park for Colts training camp.

The Colts are taking camp back on the road and training camp is back open to fans. Last year, the Colts held camp at the team complex and practices were closed to the public.

"We want to give the fans what they want and if it's more convenient and family friendly, then we want to give you that," said Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Colts Vice Chair and Owner. "Every time I come here, your mind just kind of goes wild with what you can do."

Three grass fields in the middle of the complex are reserved for the Colts use. Bleachers will be erected on the sideline that can seat 6,000 fans, including 10 suites.

Admission to training camp is free, but you need a ticket, which can be ordered at Colts.com. Parking on campus will cost $5. Off-campus parking is free with a shuttle provided.

"We know that everyone can't afford to come to a game and we want to make it approachable to everyone, especially families and kids," said Irsay-Gordon.

The Colts also have access to three indoor fields with brand new locker rooms nearing completion for 90 players.

"We will endeavor for this to become the new bar in NFL training camps," said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook.

The team has several theme days planned, including Kids Day on Saturday, July 28, and Bike to Camp Day on Saturday, August 18th. Players report to Grand Park on Wednesday, July 25, with a Camp Kickoff that includes a youth football camp and fireworks. The first practice is the following day at 1:30 p.m. Camp concludes with joint practices against the Baltimore Ravens on August 17-18.

Three night practices are scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on July 29 and August 3 and 14.
