ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (WTHR) – June 21 marked the Summer Solstice, but Mother Nature seems to have a different plan for Colorado.

According to Rocky Mountain National Park officials, it hasn't felt like summer at the park for the past few days.

Instead, they got several feet of snow!

The wintry blast caused the Trail Ridge Road to temporarily close while crews cleared five foot snow drifts.

The park sits 12,000 feet above sea level.
