INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The City-County Council are not getting a pay raise, at least not for now.

Councilors were set to vote on salary increases Monday night, but the council's president scrapped it from the agenda, not long before the meeting.

Members of the council currently make a little more than $11,000 a year for the part-time job and haven't had a raise in years. A proposal to triple their pay was tabled last year because it didn't have enough votes.
