CARMEL, Ind. (WTHR) — As the dangerous heat continues through the weekend, Carmel city officials have canceled the Art of Wine event scheduled for Saturday evening in the Carmel Arts & Design District.

“The safety of our patrons and event staff is our top priority and given the extreme heat conditions, we needed to follow our Emergency Weather Action Plan and cancel the event,” said Nancy Heck, Director of Community Relations and Economic Development.

The Carmel Fire Department said today's forecast was already dangerous and tomorrow's is expected to exceed that.

Refunds will be processed for those who purchased VIP tickets, which will be handled through Eventbrite.
