INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The next big thing at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis is taking shape.

The $35 million Sports Legends Experience features outdoor activities for children centered around a number of different sports.

A putting course designed by legendary golf course designer Pete Dye is complete. The course replicates some of Dye's most famous course and hole designs.

Dye's designs are featured around the world, but Hoosiers may be most familiar with his courses at French Lick, Fort Benjamin Harrison and Brickyard Crossing, which includes four holes inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Workers are also constructing a pagoda inspired by the Speedway, which is surrounded by a track for pedal cars.

The exhibit is scheduled to open in March.
