'Chief Elf' heads from Santa Claus to Hollywood to chat with Kelly Clarkson

SANTA CLAUS, Ind. (WTHR) - The "chief elf" of Indiana's Christmas headquarters is heading to Hollywood.

Santa Claus, Indiana's Chief Elf Pat Koch recently visited Kelly Clarkson for a chat on the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter's talk show.

Koch is the founder of the Santa Claus Museum & Village and has helped answer letters from children worldwide to Santa Claus for much her life, the town's website said. Last year, volunteer elves answered 22,000 letters from children.

Children of all ages can still send a letter to Santa and get a personalized reply in time for Christmas. Letters need to be mailed by December 20, 2019 with a legible return address. Kids can send the letters to Santa Claus, P.O. Box 1, Santa Claus, IN 47579.

Koch's conversation about Santa Claus, Indiana is scheduled to air on Friday's episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" (December 13). The show airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on Channel 13.
