INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — It's almost too good to be true for Canadian customers of Chase Bank.

This week, the company announced that it would forgive all outstanding debt owed by customers in Canada, WCNC reported.

The decision was made after the bank decided to leave the Canadian credit market, according to WCNC.

According to CBC, the forgiveness allows the company to complete its exit from the market.

Chase has not released information as to how many customers were affected or how much debt was forgiven.

"I was sort of over the moon all last night, with a smile on my face," Douglas Turner told the CBC. "This stuff doesn't happen with credit cards. Credit cards are horror stories."
