PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (WTHR/NBC News) – A father will do whatever it takes to save their child - including jumping over a 4-foot fence.

Home security video caught the moment dad jumped into the pool to save his one and a half-year-old son Rocco from drowning.

"The second you see it, you get Superman strength and have to go for it," said Albert, the boy's father. "You know, whatever you gotta do."

Rocco falls into the pool and Albert immediately runs to the pool, leaping over the fence.

"It didn't even cross my mind to go around. It was point A to point B," said Albert.

Anna Stewart of the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County doesn't recommend jumping into the pool like Albert did, but understands parents are going to do what they have to.

"You can drown also but we know parents are going to do what they're going to do," said Stewart. "They're going to go in and save their children. But bring a flotation device with you, so that way you don't go underneath the water."

Albert says he's going to take extra measures to make sure the fence keeps his son from falling into the pool again.

He hopes that his head-first dive into the pool will help remind people of pool safety.

"Just heads-up parenting," said Albert. "Heads up. Watch what's going on. Keep your eyes on your kids."
