CARMEL, Ind. (WTHR) – The weather was perfect for the Festival of Ice in Carmel Saturday.

People from across the country came to show off their ice-sculpting skills.

Families came to watch them work and enjoy the snow that's been falling all day.

One couple that just moved to Carmel from Southern California says they've been waiting a long time to see this.

"I think it's beautiful," said Diana Bricket.

"For us, this was anticipated. Since we moved here August 1, we have been looking forward to a real snow, not just a little dusting, we wanted something to stick on the ground, so this has been fabulous," said Ernie Bricket.

They weren't the only ones having fun in the snow, kids were loving it too.

The Festival of Ice wraps up Sunday at the Center Green.
