INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Carmel gained redemption from a title game loss a year ago with a 60-55 win over Ben Davis Saturday night in the IHSAA 4A boys state basketball championship game.

The Greyhounds never trialed in the game as four players, led by freshman guard Pete Suder with 14 points, scored in double figures.

John Michael Mulloy added 13 points for Carmel, which finished the season 26-1.

Ben Davis was within three points in the fourth quarter, but could not catch the Greyhounds.

The boys basketball state championship is Carmel's fourth in school history, their sixth IHSAA title this school year and 149th overall IHSAA title.

Carmel also became the first school to win three winter sport titles in the same year.
