Brickyard 400 Forecast For Monday

Unfortunately the wet weekend forecast verified and postponed the Brickyard 400 until Monday.

We've been monitoring radar closely as an area of drizzle hasn't budged much due to an enlongated area of low pressure, known as a trough, draped over Central Indiana. This feature provides just enough lift in a moisture-rich airmass to squeeze-out drizzle and light rain.

This lingers for a bit overnight and perhaps long enough to require some drying of the track so the Xfinity race can begin at its 10:05am slated time.

Otherwise we're planning on the lower levels drying out for mainly dry, but mainly cloudy conditions Monday. Temperatures struggle into the upper 60s Monday afternoon but there should be ample dry time for racing. Have fun and good luck to all the drivers.
