Boy uses his allowance to pay off other students' lunch debt

NAPA, Calif. (WTHR) — When your child tries to earn an allowance it might be to get a new game, phone or toy.

Ryan Kyote, 9, of Napa, California had a very different and selfless plan.

When he saw a story about kids being shamed for not having money to pay for their lunches, he wanted to take action.

According to the Napa Valley Register, Ryan and his mother checked with his school and found out his third grade class owed about $75.

Ryan used his allowance money he had saved to pay it all off.
