SPENCER, Ind. (WTHR) — Capturing the first few moments of a newlywed couple often results in pure bliss — the groom admiring the bride's beauty; the bride looking happier than she ever has.

For one Indiana couple, those moments were just as enjoyable to see, but for totally different reasons.

The couple hired Belinda Russell to photograph their wedding, but the bride had a special request. She wanted the best man to pull a prank on the groom, and from the looks of it, he happily obliged.

The groom, Andrew Wright, had his back turned and was expecting to to see his bride, Nicole Smith when he turned around. Even after a traditional prom pose with the best man's arms wrapped around his waist, he didn't realize that wasn't the case.

Instead, he found his best man, Kye Stachowski dressed in a wedding gown.

Russell captured the whole thing through her lens.

Photos show the bride's matron of honor, whose dress he borrowed, walking Stachowski down to meet the groom.

As happy as his best man in a wedding gown made him, Wright smiled just as big to be posing with his new bride. Congratulations to the happy couple.

The wedding took place at Abram Farm in Spencer, Indiana. Russell's photography business is based in Fishers. Find more photos from Belinda Marie Photography on her website and Facebook page.
