COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) — Staying safe in church has become the focus of a new training in Bartholomew County.

And Indiana is no stranger to addressing the concern of safety in a house of worship. Just last month, faith leaders in Indianapolis attended active shooter training.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department says there will be a safety seminar on Nov. 9 in Columbus.

It's designed for churches, business owners, school teachers and anyone else who is interested in attending.
