“To hit somebody and to go off and leave them and die on the side of the road, it’s pretty unforgivable. People don’t understand how somebody could do that,” IMPD Sgt. Doug Heustis said on Friday.

The vehicle was found abandoned at Madison and Bacon just east.

Sandlin’s family has set up a GoFundMe account to help raise money for funeral expenses.
