Another 70 degree day


Days like today are certainly numbered as we dive deeper into the fall season. Take full advantage of a partly sunny and warm day with highs in the lower 70s -- average is 65 this time of year. We know the roof will be OPEN when the Colts and Texans game kick off at 1 p.m. in Lucas Oil Stadium.

Clouds build in overnight as our next weather system approaches. This keeps temperatures mild with lows only in the mid 50s.

Have rain gear ready for Monday as widespread rain is expected to move in just after the morning rush and last into the afternoon. A few thunderstorms are possible, as well, with a few stronger storms in the forecast for the southern tier of the state. Temperatures still warm to the upper 60s with a strong south breeze gusting to 35 mph as times in the afternoon.

Rain will exit after 8 p.m. Monday with a clearing sky overnight. Temperatures will be turning cooler with lows in the upper 40s. Clouds linger and it stays breezy with highs only in the upper 50s Tuesday.

The temperature trend will be cooler through the end of the week with highs in the low to mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday and only in the upper 50s by Friday into next weekend. Look for a slight rain chance late Thursday into Friday morning. - Lindsey Monroe
