Alligator knocks out trapper trying to load it into a truck

OCOEE, Fla. (WTHR) — A large alligator wrapped in in zip ties in central Florida was not going down without a fight.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officers trapped, subdued and hog-tied a 9-foot gator last month near Orlando.

It had been roaming a neighborhood where children ride their bikes and play outside, so the gator had to go.

Officers and a trapper were ready to load the back of a pick-up truck with their catch, but the gator had other plans in mind.

Just as they placed it on the truck, it head butt the trapper, knocking the glasses off his head and making him pass out cold for a few seconds.

When a Fish and Wildlife officer stepped it, the alligator lunged at him and swatted him with its tail.

They were finally able to get the gator on the truck using a wench to drag it up instead of lifting it.
