Aldi recalls granola for 'foreign material'

BATAVIA, Ill. (WTHR) — Grocery store Aldi is recalling a granola product after discovering it may have "foreign material" in it.

The product was Specially Selected Paleo Maple Almond Granola. It has been removed from stores since it was recalled. Aldi did not say what the "foreign material" contaminating the product was.

The granola came in an 8-ounce package and hit Aldi Finds shelves Feb. 13, 2019. It had UPC code 4099100040067 and best if used by dates of Jan. 22 and 23 of 2020.\

In a release, Aldi said no one had reported any injuries or illnesses from the product. Anyone who has the granola should dispose of it.
