After 101-day epic tweet-fest, Anderson U. student gets shoutout from 'The Rock'

ANDERSON, Ind. (WTHR) - An Anderson University student who spent 100 days trying to hang out with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is getting a toast in his honor from the actor Thursday night.

Jordan Baker set off on his quest to hang with The Rock on April 16, tweeting that he would tweet every day until the former pro wrestler took him up on his offer.

What happened next was 100 days of tweets to The Rock, complete with rudimentary (yet often hilarious) Photoshop work, memes and, finally, on Tuesday - Day 100 - a pretty epic video recounting the journey.

Wednesday night, Baker posted a collection of all of his tweets to Johnson to commemorate his 100 days.

That thread apparently did the trick, as Baker got a tweet from The Rock Wednesday morning.

Johnson tweeted that he had just now seen the tweets and while his "hang out days" are behind him, he promised to toast his "pretend hang out buddy Jordan" with tequila.

So with a small victory achieved, what's next? Baker is keeping the tweets coming and turning to a higher power to make an actual hang out date happen.
